Mexican White Seal?

Location: Mexico/South of Juarez

When I first saw this image I thought I was looking at a white seal. Now I’m not so sure what the ancient artists created here. Look at the detailed center of the face. Pay particular attention to the two eyes, nose and the two nostril openings at the end of the nose. The nose doesn’t look like a seal’s nose. Is it a bear’s face or maybe the face of a Chinese Chow Dog? Let me know what you think.
